They would dominate the AL for years to come. Beckett is 27, Dice-K is 27, Santana will be 28, Lester will be 24 (if he stays), Bucholtz is only 23 and he'll probably be the #5 guy if Lester goes. Schilling (if he maintains his weight per his new contract) has another 10-15 wins in the tank. Wakefield might possibly be a long reliever.

We can possibly have 3 guys who can win 20 games for us in Beckett, Santana, and Dice-K. Schilling can win 15 games and Bucholtz can win 12-15 games. Total that up, that's 87-90 wins from our starters. The bullpen can win 15-20 games, so we can have 102-110 wins and be on top of the AL East. (WAAAAAY ahead of the Yankees {whose rotation looks like something out of a retirement home with Clemens, Pettite, and Mussina} )

Stuff like this is why Baseball is starting to look bad.All other major sports has things in place to keep 2-3 teams from getting all the talent on one team yet Baseball keeps it going.

Over all if this trade happens Boston will be very very very good for a long while.

This is also the reason I support a salary cap in Baseball you would not see these teams with big pockets spending everything to win they would have to really think on how to put a team together and win not just pay the next big thing to come in.Football got more compation once the salry cap was placed

You got the rotation off a little switch no. 3 and 4 thats what it would be Schilling will need the extra day off late in the season...if they don't get Santanna it's not going to kill or even hurt them...I wish the Astros would have been in the race to get him...thats what we need

lets see... Beckett and Schilling are both probably juicing, Matsusaka is just a big 'ol Japanese pussy, Wakefield is too damn slow and gets oft-injured, and Lester will probably go in the Santana deal. All and All the Red Sox rotation is looking like S-H-I-T this upcoming year. Nice to be of help. lol.

162-0
They would have the best right hander, and the best left hander in the game. They would have 3 pitchers capable of 20+ wins, an the rest easilly capable of 15 each.
Just remember, good pitching beats good hitting.

They would dominate the American League, and engage in a fierce seven-game battle with the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship Series.

They would be pretty good. Both Santana and Beckett are easily among the top five pitchers in baseball.
