Probably al little. Oprah has a huge following of mindless housewives that will follow her to the ends of the earth. I dislike Oprah, but if her support for Obama takes votes away from Hilary Clinton then I suppert her.

Let me first make this very very clear..I am not racist...I never have been ...I never will be so please don't report me for this...but yes having Oprah back him will bring out all the African-American people to vote who haven't ever done so before. She has more power to get people to do things than anyone else in the United States for some reason.I like Oprah but I think the ONLY reason she is letting people know about her political thoughts now is because Osama is African- American and to have an African- American in the White House.I also think that she knows without her backing he won't get in.It may be a close one but Hillary will come out on top if Oprah stays out of it.

I am not American, but I follow the politics a little. If Oprahs opinion sways anyones vote, I feel sorry for you. She has shown to much bias to be a credible endorsement for anyone. Any influence from the mass media is corrupted, anywhere in the world. We all rely to heavily on the ideas and trends of whats popular with the Hollywood set. We need to think about what is best for middle class America, Canada wherever. The middle class contributes more than any other class and does it without getting their picture plastered everywhere.

The support of Oprah Winfrey for Barack Obama might swing the Democrats to choose him in favor of Hillary Clinton as the standard bearer of their party.

It will bring attention and media time. Also perhaps he can create some awareness among the older female crowd that has been so pro-Hillary. I don't think that people would really vote for him just because Oprah said so though. At least I hope not.

Yes. A number of women who don't bother to think for themselves will vote for him strictly based on her endorsement. That is sad.

I believe and would hope that American women are independent, smart women and can cast their own vote based on their own judgements.
