Well, they can be okay if used right.
A house down the street for example. They have those blue powersaving lights in the trees, and red and white lights wrapped around these cylindrical hedges they have. On their house, they have multicoloured lights. It actually looks quite nice.

I prefer white Christmas lights for the outside of the house. But I'm all for colored lights on the Christmas tree.

Because they DO look good. I don't have any on my home, but I think they are pretty. Especially the royal blue ones. Those are the best...next to the black light colored ones.

I know! To me its like the most tackiest thing ever.
Like one time we were driving around and looking at houses and this guy had classic yellow and suddenly : boom!Blue light on the top of his tree!So i was like ughh

I agree with you, if your gonna decorate make it look good and uniform, not just a bunch of lights thrown up. Looks crappy to me.
I also don't like it when they just throw some lights up in the trees or in bushes haphazardly.

I agree, they make my eyes bleed. The house down the street from us looks like she took some mangled lights and threw them all over her lawn, doorn and the trailer in her driveway. It's quite sad to see. They look more like Halloween/Easter lights.
