they tend 2 have a problem "tripping over their own two feet". they r based on the suzuki samauri and many tests were done showing their ease of tippibility. high profile (top heavy)/short wheelbase. here is an article that talked about it:

traveling a set speed and requiring a panic maneuveur with the wheel, ie: something comes out from curb and u swerve 2 avoid then immediately swerve back 2 ur own lane can cause the vehicle 2 lose balance and start tipping.

further investigation claimed consumer reports "doctored" the tests and that they weren't a rollover hazard as originally thought, but it made a definate impact on sales.

as a younger driver with not much experience, i would still suggest avoiding the tracker 4 now. despite the question of stability, the inside is very noisy and if u live in a colder climate there is not much insulation 2 keep u warm despite having a heater that works at best, not well.

good luck and GOD bless

They sit high and are short and narrow. That is a good reason why they will flip over. If you cut the wheel too tight for the speed that you are doing then it most likely will flip.

You may want to consider another high gas mileage vehicle since you are just starting out.

good luck.

My cousin was in one that flipped. It messed up his shoulder for life. The only good thing about it was they were able to flip it bak up with 3 guys. Seriously though I would not reccoemnd one of those. Not only are they dangerous, they are cheaply built and not reliable.

yes they can tip over under terrible driving conditions. you can look at getting wider tires and it will make some of a difference .

yes they do tip easy due to their short and narrow wheel base and high center of gravity.

yep they are top heavy and even have a warning stating this on the interior ... i think on the sun visor... anyway if you already have one just dont make sudden sharp turns and it will be fine
