There's no such thing as a platonic relationship. Males and females are not friends, they are people you haven't slept with yet.

I have that same thing but I'm on the girl end of that. ;) Maybeeeee your my guyfriend? Haha no but seriously... here's the girl end of it: I will hug any other guys but that one guy who I am really close to and we get on great, talk a lot, laugh. sexual jokes eye contact ect. as do you.. Just at one point I DID like him more then a friend.. So hugging him as I do to other guys that I'm casual with, would just make me seem awkward. Because I wouldn't want him to think I do like him more then a friend. Even though I previously did I wouldn't want him to get the wrong message because I'm scared it will make the friendship awkward if I personally start the hug. But I know if he starts the hug that its all in a friendly matter, and if he is the one starting it, then obviously he is not going to feel awkward about it, as I might think he would if I started it.. Most likely its because she doesn't want you to get the wrong impression or feel weird about hugging her because she doesn't want you to think she's weird/awkward and has feelings for you. (Regardless of if she does or not) Because who knows she might? Its just pretty much, she doesn't want you to feel awkward. :)

Yes, it happens, and it has happened to me.
Actually friendships are usually good beginnings for deeper relationships later. They (friendships) can be non-threatening and non-assuming. They allow you to get to know the other better without a romantic commitment.
Friendships do deepen, even if they do not ultimately end up in romantic commitment. Our nature as humans is to seek to belong, intimately, and friendships will take some level of intimacy.
You must be a beautiful person, not necessarily physically, but within, for all the guys you're friends with to like you more than just as a friend. The other side of the coin is, are you sure you aren't mistaken in your perception?

Well... I think it's perfectly natural to become attracted to a close friend. Spending so much time with a person that you hold so many memories and (more than likely, seeing as how you ARE friends) have so much in common with is bound to create attraction. All of my girlfriends have been close friends of mine that I've known for AT LEAST 1 year.

Males cannot usually separate a female as more than just a sex object. Being a friend is not usually something they are completely comfortable with and that is really sad.
I have talked to many males about just this and they all say the same thing.
If they respected us as people, that would change.

Not now, but when I was a young buck, I was just like your friends. In fact, I married a friend of mine. We're still together after 34+ years. Now that I'm an old fart, I just think of women friends as friends (except for my wife).

Well, most of the time, the reason why they become friends with you is because they think your attractive.

Happens all the time to me. I just have a lot of hot female friends. But I know when to keep my distance, so everything's cool.
