my mom thinks there is some bugs living in a small wooden statue. and there's like a yellow powder things are keep coming out, and like small holes are there. so yeah my mom thinks there's bugs living in there so she's keeping it in the garage. oh yeah she said it was made in africa if that helps. Thanks for answering.

maybe use boiling hot water on it but don't burn yourself

Yeah it's got bugs in it, if it's got yellow powder coming out of it it's because the bugs are eating holes in it. If it's small enough, preheat your oven to about 200 degrees, won't be hot enough to burn anything, and stick the statue in there, in a pan of course, for about an hour and it will kill them.

Skip the boiling hot water. Thank you for importing a foreign bug if it came with the statue.
If it will fit, put it in the freezer for several days. If they still seem active, contact a local museum or bug killer about fumigating it.
