I take some time to mourn over the loss of not being with someone I love. Then I do things that make me happy, stay around people that make me happy, go out with friends, and stay busy with work, school, or whatever. I do what I can to take my mind off of things for awhile. In time, my heart heals and I can move on emotionally as much as I have otherwise in my life.
I have had to do a lot of this during this year as my boyfriend broke up with me (after cheating on me for several months) and kicked me out of a home I loved--when he knew I had no job or money, and no place to go (this was late April). I am finally starting to get over the loser (moved to a great place, have a great job, have new friends as well as old ones to hang out with, etc) and am moving on with my life in all aspects. I expect to be ready to start dating again sometime this coming summer. :)

You simply give it time.
The answer sounds so simple that it may accidentally cause offense, but take none, please.
But don't worry. It will heal.
