Lady L, what's going on now? Move to Central California. That will put you half way between your kids and your brother, and right next to me!

I live on the "thumb" 35 minutes from any of the fishing ports or beaches. We can go either perch fishing from any river or landing, Salmon fishing from any port or Walleye fishing from the Bay or Lake.
There's about three white tail deer seasons with shotgun, Black powder and bow, this includes wild turkey, the kind you eat.
Our small towns here don't have many bars but, we do have our share of Churches and wonderfully friendly people.
Our is a mixture of Amish, Polish and German. Many of the young people are gone now, all doing their duty in the services, in Iraq.
Most of the work here is seasonal, the Sugar mills, five of them that work eight months our of the year, there's many company farms, 15 to 20 thousand acres that are always hiring.
Small businesses and factories that subside to the auto industry make up for the seasonal jobs, I had as many as four jobs at the same time.
The health industry is none to the best with St.Marys and Covenant hospital holding number one to the Mayo clinic this year.
I retired here from the Southwest, there little to no crime, people still walk the streets in the evening and late at night, you still leave your keys in the car and no one locks their doors as yet.
