If you knew more about it you would know that the amount of "terrorists" has more than doubled since Bush and Cheney invaded Iraq. We are causing people world wide to hate us so much they are willing to die to harm us. The terrorist are not through with us, don't kid yourself. They will get revenge for what we are doing to their country and their loved ones. But, hey Bush, Cheney, big oil, war profiteers and their big business cronies have become unimaginably wealthy so they won't be touched. God help us all.

Probably the opposite.
The US invasion and occupation of Iraq has caused more hatred and ill will towards the US, furthering the cause of the extreme Islamic radicals. We were right in going into Afghanistan after Bin Laden and the Taliban and most of the world was on our side. Invading Iraq was ill advised, poorly planned, and the worse foreign policy mistake ever committed by a US president.

War is and has always been a result of political failures. Our troops have done an amazing job, but our politicians have failed miserably. As long as our political "leaders" keep undermining each other, we will continue to give hope to our enemies and therefore continue to have wars. One example is Iran. We have the military might to bring Iran to its knees in less than 100 days. If we were united in letting them know that unless they stop supporting terrorism around the world and stop producing nuclear weapons there would be serious consequences. As it stands right now, they don't believe we will do anything about it, so they continue to defy the world. As a result we will one day be starring each other in the eye and the only way out will be war.

Not at all April. First of all , we had nothing to fear from Iraq. They had no army, no navy, no air force. They were not a threat to us. Secondly, there were no terrorists there before we invade. Now there are terrorists from around the region there. We are in their "holy land". They don't like it and they have a very long memory. They pass these grudges down to their children and grandchildren. That means that someday, your children and grand children may have to suffer because of the war in Iraq. That war did not have to happen. There were other options. At the time it started Saddam was trying to negotiate him leaving Iraq. No one ever talks about that. Look it up.

War without justification (Iraq.. possibly Iran) creates hatred towards us all over the world, which leads to eventual revenge, and our troops won't be here to defend us. How are we safe if our defenders are everywhere except here?

No, I do not believe in this war.

I've seen bush keep Americans safe:

9/11
anthrax killer(s)
beltway snipers

Why are't you in iraq fighting in the war you claim to "believe" in?

No I do not believe in the war; the war is not about keeping us safe; it's about oil. I don't see the point in so many men and women dying for such a frivolous cause.

How can you even suggest that ANY war will keep us safe when anyone with a desire to do so can walk freely across our borders? The whole concept of this is an escape from reality.

Oh please, is this another supporter of the "we haven't been attacked since 9/11 right?". We are just as "safe" now as we were before 9/11. Overseas embassies and such may be at more risk(they always were, never mattered who was president).

Hey Fae, go enlist and fight for your freedom then, I did, back in 89 when you were probably still a zygote.

Well first of all, what the hell is "believen"?

Second, I am very anti-war. We had a lock down today and I almost had a heartattack. Imagine how those poor people that are killed are feeling.

It's time to think about someone other than yourself...
Peace!
