Now would be a decent time to buy the home, since it is a buyers market and rates aren't too bad, just stay away from the "ARM's"
I've lived in the Phoenix area for 43 years....when I was just out of high school, I could have purchased a new 3 bdr, 2 bath home for between $10,600.00 and $12,000.00 dollars.
The point is, the market prices steadily rise, even though there have been many lull's over the years. But that is all it is, a temporary lull and then prices start going up again, happens every time. This lull is going to be a little longer than most but the market will turn around, it always does. Use the time wisely and shop carefully, there are some great deals on properties available around here and some foolish ones, lol.

You want to wait until the warm weather sets in. The homes on the market will be less than right now, when there are more people looking to move to a warmer climate for winter.

Yes, you should definitley do this.
They'll be cheaper (at least a little bit) than they will in the summer.
Summer house prices sky rocket in the summer.
Wonder why? =)
Hope I helped.
