i have an hp 523n. recently i wanted to turn on my computer and nothing came up.?

i try to power on my computer but my monitor does not show anything. my keyboard does not light up my power button does not show the light it has. my hard drive light does not turn on either. all i hear are the fans and the hard drive spinning. what could be my problem

I would check the power supply. IT could be the motherboard also
