I don't think he's thinking Swiss Knife. I think he's thinking tools that would be handy around the house. Also, is there a way to order these online?

Buy him a "Leatherman" multitool. A good one is about $40.00 dollars, but they have them for more and less. They come in different sizes too. Google it and you will see it.

If it is the knife type multi tool ..gerber is a good one as suggested..the wal mart junk will usually strip out on the screwdriver heads etc..get one made in usa not china..which most of wal marts are china made..now..here is my question..also a dremil...is called a multi rotary tool...they make many brands rotary tools ..but dremel is the best...Try to make sure he is talking about a multi tool knife/screwdriver/pliers type tool and not a multi ROTORY tool

If he wants a multi-tool that is a pliers, screw driver, knife and more I would suggest Gerber. It is similar to Leatherman but I think it is handier and easier to open.

GERBER is the best brand .you can buy them at wal-mart around $50 to $ 60 .they will replace or fix them if anything goes wrong,my husband loves his and so do my sons! good luck!!!! if there is not a wal-mart near you check on line to see if you can buy one from their web site!
