Should Obama be elected, is he willing to support medical marijuana for those in need of it with a doctors approval? I understand he has admitted it open his horizons after smoking the herb and he set his standards and goals a lot higher! So far, he seems to be opening eyes and the sky's the limit! What do you believe?

I think that his personal choice will have little to do with the decision to legalize marijuana.

Legalizing marijuana, even just medicinally, would take a huge amount away from the tobacco and alcohol industries and the promotion of them, and because they generally back a lot of big names, it's unlikely that they'll let that happen.

Not me. I've been smoking weed for 30+ years. I don't a prescription for it; I don't need it to be legal. It is available 24 and 7 in every community in the USA.

Obama thinks that drugs shouldn't be a part of people's lives, but he at least has an understanding of the drug culture and some empathy when it comes to drug users. I think that he would definitely re-think some of the solutions to our nation's drug problems. He's not going nearly as far as Mike Gravel, but I think he would be at least a step in the right direction when it comes to the ridiculous crime producing machine that is the war on drugs.

Actually, I'd WELCOME a President who smoked a little weed. No.... seriously.

The problem with the U.S. is that the slimy press looks for that one little sound bite it can use to mock a candidate. They dissect a person's personal life for anything embarrassing, just to make headlines. Hence, we only get candidates with either very well-hidden secrets, or people of very bland personalities (Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, George H. Bush Sr.)

Imagine if we had a real colorful character, like a modern day Benjamin Franklin. He goes over to Syria to talk turkey with Bashar al-Assad. Things are stiff and formal. The two don't trust one another. No progress is going to be made. Big waste of time. Failure again.

But then, our colorful President whips out a little plastic baggy and starts rolling something. His host is shocked, but our guy tells him to chill out. Pretty soon, they're smoking like college buddies and laughing about everything.

Problem solved.

Heck, we should have told Clinton: "OK, now that you're President, your first job is to start inhaling!"

I believe Obama would try to relax the laws against marijuana in general, and would likely try to get medical marijuana legalized. Maybe he'll have a "special" smoking section in Air Force One.

Who cares. I don't think anyone is waiting for Washington's approval before toking up.

Barrak Hussein Obama is to wet behind the ears for the job of President of the USA. He needs a little more time off the drugs, and a little political do-diligence should make him a nice well rounded man. FOR GET ABOUT IT he'll never win.
