Morality is God's law. Ethics is our commitment to holding to morality. Morality exists regardless of whether we choose to follow it or not. And we usually don't; we just twist words and ideas and occasionally just ignore teachings until we can justify doing anything we want.

Ethics is the legal or social enforecement of morality.
Morality is the philosophy, Ethics is the enactement.
Therefore, Ethics and Morality could not exist without each other.

Because they depend on the other- ethics are the written law and morals are the human law that leads to following ethics when ethics are moral.

Sadly, they don't coexist well at all. Morality, quite frankly, is nothing more than what is "socially acceptable." Ethics however go far beyond what society finds acceptable.
