Yes! I am against drug-use of any kind as any sort of recreational activity; but I am for legalizing drugs in order for recuperation (not incarceration) for drug users; it's high times we all admit that this drug war (just like alcohol bootlegging), will never be won

A truly repented former drug user who has nothing to do with drug culture or lifestyle or anyone who currently uses: yes. We all sin in some way or other. Some are just more obvious.

A 'former' drug user who now only uses once in a while: absolutely not.

A 'former' drug user who uses when no one's looking: absolutely not.

A 'former' drug user who is still involved with the lifestyle and other users, even if he or she doesn't currently use? No absolute way.

I'm a former drug user and I am married to a user. I am against drugs but realize that some people cannot function worth a sh!t without them. I've seen her without her medication (herbal) and it's not a pretty sight. Open up that narrow mind and you won't even think of asking such questions.

You just said it . "Former" drug user. Meaning they don't do it anymore. So basically they are not doing it anymore probably because they saw how bad it is. If that person is still doing drugs , then I would agree with you in not dating them.

Depends so much on the drugs. I don't do any myself, but I can live and let live when it comes to certain ones. However, when you get into heroin/cocaine/speed/and derivatives thereof, I'm leery. I kinda dated a guy once who claimed to have quit using coke (which was odd since he mentionned this out of the blue when I never asked about it and he didn't know me well) but he turned out to be lying as well as being an all-round reprobate.

I'm personally against it, but do I want to try it to say I have done it, yes, would I date someone who is a former, already have, and honestly, I miss that relationship.

Yes! Everyone deserves a second chance! And you can't hold all past actions against a person especially if they've made serious changes for the better!

not unless it had been at least 5 years since they last used. It is easy to relapse and you don't want to end up being less important than drugs.
