Its only like 2 weeks yet there are barely anyone with decorations up. Last year they were all up 3 days after Christmas. Anyone else notice this?

I think with all the fuss being made about "merry christmas or happy holidays" as a greeting at a store or "the seperation of church and state" issues about decorating that people are beginning to be afraid of leaving someone out or making someone angry. It' a shame.

Yeah. I live close to the university, so there are a lot of students who move out during the holidays, so that's probably why there aren't many up around here. I don't decorate because when I was a kid, my mom went way overboard every year culminating in the musical Christmas lights that she left on all day and all night.

I for one am sick of the over-the-top decorations, where the entire house and yard is covered in lights and inflatables and Santas and reindeer. Looks more like Disney World or a dept store than a home. If you must decorate keep it simple and down to earth. There are a few houses in my small town that have overdone it, but basically it`s just normal decorations
PS..I like something that looks like "Pretty Kitty"

PC police are getting to people's regular habits. We are being conditioned away from Christmas decorations.

This one guy who always puts up millions of lights in his yard only has a few lights this year. I wonder if he's sick of it or if he got sick and unable to do it. Could be he can't afford the electric to burn them...
