Or you could ask them for a check and carry it out.

Or here's a better plan. Find the new bank now. Open the account with a few bucks. Have them get it all properly set up and mail you your ATM cards, etc. Then when you move, deposit a check from the old bank. Leave a small amount in the old account. Wait 30 days for all the checks to clear, then close the old account.

I go with the suggestion of opening an account in a
bank with a branch in the area that you will move to.

Transfer your available funds to this new account before
the day you move. When you reach your new home,
you can easily access your funds thru the ATM card.

You can do a wire transfer. This will likely have a fee, but you can also get a cashier's check which is much more secure than cash, since it is made out to you. This is likely cheaper than a wire transfer, or it could be free as it is where I bank.

you can ask them to mail you a check but if you have another account I'm sure they could wire your money over to your new account.
