You never mentioned the processor. All this what you are trying to do is a processor intensive task. well why not add more 512 MB and make a total count of 756 MB RAM. You can also go for nVDIA 6800 GT Graphics card with 256 MB ram so that you ca work on with your applications better. Hope you do not have a celeron Processor cuz that is a **** piece of SILICON. And sorry you wont have any trouble disabling your Onboard graphics crad cuz once when you install the card on your system your BIOS will automatically disable the onboard card.

If your're on a tight budget and only play Sim 2, GeForce 8600 GT graphic card will be good for you. Check online for its price, I don't know how much it cost in your country

Um, I'm assuming you're on a system that have PCI-E already?

DDR 2 rams are cheap these days. kingston Value Ram, stable for normal usage, as long as you don't overclock.

Buy the new Nvidia 8000GT 512mb card. just look on newegg.com and look in the specs for PCIE 2.0. This card is a PCI Express video card with the new PCI Express interface that is backwards compatible with PCI Express 1.0 Every computer mag and website is saying this card is the best bang for you buck card to come out since the Nvidia 6800GT, makes me wish i didnt blow 500 dollars on my high end card, that is about the same performance. This card should be around 250 to 300 dollars.

For the RAM, I would recommend Corsair memory. It's pretty cheap, and it delivers good performance. For the card, I would recommend 8600GT.

Here is a link for the memory: Right now, it is $50 w/ free shipping. Can't beat that.

Arrogant Americans think they're the only people in here ... (I'm assuming you're American) ... I can give you the address of a cheap computer parts store in Western Australia ... but I don't know whether that will be of much help to you ....
