I know if i stick the 100.00 into a savings account I will end up spending it. Is there any CD that will let me save the money and have it non liquid so that i will not spend it ....I know fo CD'S where you can put 500.00 into it etc.. but I do not want that. I only have the 100.00 .. if so whats the best rate?

Open an IRA or contribute to your 401(k) plan at work. Then you will be saving for your retirement. You will be pretty sure that you won't touch it because the fees and taxes would kill you if you did.

DON'T do savings bonds. They pay NOTHING in interest. They are horrible investments.

Where are you? That would help us.
Wachovia wants $ 1000.00. Try a credit union. They cater to the saver who doesn;t have a large amount to invest.
A local credit union will open you a savings acct w/ $ 5.00.
