The real question is "who decides whom is eligible for torture". Who do I trust with that authority. Those people for torture to get viable info need to wrestle with that question.

For those who believe in the Bush stance simply envision your great ogre shrew Hillary as President. Do you still want her as the final say as who torture and and passively allow her the privilege.

I am a Conservative, and I also served in the Military for 20 years, and I can tell you that torture does not work.

People who are being tortured will tell you anything you want to know, just so that you will stop torturing them. Even if you get information, by the time you get it, the information is useless.

The people who are in a position to know something that is relevant are not going to be captured, so the point is mute.

For. Except for those who HAVE been tortured, like McCain, who is totally opposed to waterboarding and the like.

Ask John McCain ..... remember his stance on "water boarding"?

hint... he is against it.

Torture is all relative by the way. My 3 year old thinks that standing in the corner for 5 minutes is "torture".

I'm for whatever works. If waterboarding gets the job done, then I'm all for it. I could care less what they do to these Islamic scumbags who behead innocent civilians.
