Circumcision is the removal of the foreskin of the penis. The practice started in the middle east when washing and bathing were not daily or for that matter weekly occurances.Accumulation of matter under the foreskin caused numerous infections . As a result the rictual of circumcision was adopted .

The Great Circumcision of the Globe
Of course, it was Magellan who first circumcised the world
When he brought the skin into port, much had been consumed by fish as large portions had hung over the sides of the ship, so Queen Rubella's first remark to Magellan was, "The world must have a much smaller penis than I would have thought it had." To which. Magellan, putting his kerchief to his nose, replied, "Yes, Your Highness, considering the earth," and he pointed to the moon, 'has such a huge ball."

WHen the foreskin of a man's penis is cut off.
So, I take it you are NOT circumcised. Be glad.
"Boys are born with a hood of skin, called the foreskin, covering the head (also called the glans) of the penis. In circumcision, the foreskin is surgically removed, exposing the end of the penis."
This link explains it & shows a drawing of before & after.

It depends... on the one hands, it's physical as the others have pointed out. However, if you look in the New Testament, Paul talks about circumcision of the heart, which represents one's inward dedication to God.

Being sexually mutilated due to erronous religious culture, misinformation about health issues and a lack of consideration for the baby's future sex life and wellbeing.
*
There are some legitimate health needs, in very rare instances. However, health issues (AIDS and such) have been used to 'prove' that mutilating the boy's genitalia is one answer to reducing AIDS... The study checked women's responses (as men don't seem to matter) and partners situation (mutilated or not).

ACEofwar: If young boys are taught how to clean their penis properly - no such infections occur. I am uncut (I love my extra thousands of sensual nerves, thank you!) and know how to clean my equipment so as to avoid any smells & gunk... just a little hygiene, common sense and you'll be set for life without needing to mutilate any more baby boys! :o)
