A white woman, this country is far too racist to elect a black man as president yet, even if he is biracial.

It's very simple really. In this day and age, right or wrong, esp. the South, the majority of ppl who bother to vote will pick a white democrat who happens to be a woman over a black democrat who happens to be a man. Due to the Bush/Cheney/Rove connection, the war etc... plus the general backlash vs the GOP now the new President will be a Democrat. Thats just my opinion.

Of course they can. Some people in the south discriminate but those are the people who are most likely going to vote Republican (Huckabee or Romney I think) because of their stance on immigration. so it does not matter what they think of the democratic candidate. As for the southern democrats, a large percentage of them are black or other minority leading me to believe that they would vote Obama. But one cannot underestimate the female power and I could see many women turning out to vote for the first ever female president.

basically whilst a Republican starts to recover from approximately 10% of the Black vote (as Bush did in 2004 in Ohio, the place he have been given, like 18%, which remains no longer a great type, in spite of the undeniable fact that it grew to become into the version between triumphing Ohio, and dropping Ohio, subsequently it grew to become into the version between staying interior the White domicile, and dropping it, so it somewhat is honest to assert that the "Black vote" positioned Bush returned in.) the factor now, is that Barak Obama basically polls ninety%, that he's not "triumphing" the Black vote. Edwards, Hillary or Biden might try this properly. He needs to get someplace around ninety 8% of the Black vote, to teach he's "properly-known" between Blacks.

The Democratic candidate will win the election by a landslide. It doesn't matter who the candidate is. It only matters that he/she is not affiliated with the republican party. Americans are ready for change. The southern voters will support the party. The dems will set this country back on track. Shame on the Bush Presidency.

I wish people would look beyond whether or not the candidate is a woman, a black man, a Mormon or whatever. The think America needs to look at is whether or not the candidate can be a leader for this nation in very difficult times. The future or the fate of our nation is on the line.

As a southerner, I will not vote for the person based on race or gender, but on how good of a job I believe they will do. People have a right to vote for whoever they choose. I don't call that discrimination, I call it freedom of choice.

No, I bet they will go Republican.. But on the Democratic side, I see it as Hilary, the was the discrimination goes, they'd rather have a woman, they'd see it as better than an african-american.

They might, but definitely not that woman and most likely not that black man.

Nominate someone a little to the right of Lenin and they might stand a chance in the South.
