I'm a 53 yr old grandma, so this was a while ago.... I "wanted" 6, but am ever so thankful that I only had 3- all daughters! Now I have 3 grandkids- 2 boys, 12 and 5, and 3 yr old girl. I'm also a nanny and a kindergarten teacher at my synagogues religious school, so it's all kids, all the time. Think carefully- it's more work than you will ever imagine, even though you'll never love anyone more! One of my daughters is stopping with just her 1 daughter and another daughter has the 2 boys, but the oldest lives with ME! My oldest (and smartest) daughter isn't having any- and that's OK, too!!!!

Taking care of kids is a huge responsibility. Good training, eh?? We have 5~~one with Jesus. and 8 grandkids and the next to come will be the great grandkids!! As far as how many we wanted?? They appeared out of no where~~lol!!

I have 5 and would love 1 more but my body can't handle it. I always thought I would have 4 , 2 of each. But 5 is great. I have 4 girls and 1 boy. They are a blessing and no amount of looking after kids will prepare you for your own. It is a different kettle of fish. They are yours and you raise them and love them. I have looked after kids before and even though you care it's not the same as loving your own flesh and blood. :)

I'm not quite sure..Some days I dream of having a big family..But then I think I only want 1 or 2..I guess I will know when the time comes.

i know i sure don't want 4 or 5 kids... i have 4 siblings and my mom goes crazy so i only want 1 or 2... but no more
