the question is, why would he do this, since he knew he was living a lie...his wife said he had been living at the house with her for years...I guess he just got tired of never being able to go out.

Another one of these guys who faked his own death is Ken Lay..the chief of Enron who conveniently died just before he got sentenced to 20 years in jail.

Not a fan of it personally. Someone else always gets hurt. Whether that be the family (as with Mr Darwin's sons), or the other poor sods who are paying insurance premiums. It's fraud and that is all you can say about it. I don't recall it ever having been done for a good reason. Always seems people are running away from debts or their crimes.

Before a person do it , they should ask themselves , is life that bad for them to actually disband everyone they love and care about and go else where start new and leave people wondering about you? sounds really harsh. Everyone has people who care about them and worry for them , whether family or friends or even pets sometimes. The idea itself is great , but easier said than done.

But you have to give up everyone you love. I would miss my family too much; it would have to be a life and death situation that protects my family.
