Many of the larger trucking companies will put you through school. Usually they require you to agree to work for them for a period of time after you are licensed, or to pay them back the cost of your training!

I got my training through Burlington Industries (no longer in business, UNfortunately). I got paid by the hour all through training, a little over $13 an hour. I would bet there's some other company out there somewhere that does something similar. If nothing else, like some others said, go to one of these large carriers like Schneider or JB Hunt. I don't know if they still do, but they used to train their own drivers. That's better than paying a bunch of money out of pocket, financed or not.

the very ultimate thank you to get your CDL is to discover a organization that has the two as we talk vans and tractor trailers. you are able to initiate in a as we talk truck, instruct your self a physically powerful worker, and get knowledgeable to stress a tractor trailer. Then by utilising the time you have your CDL you have already got journey. Going to the final college would or would possibly no longer help in the interest industry. the real deal is to have 3 years journey with a sparkling DMV checklist. then you definately can quite plenty good your individual cost tag.

You could try to find a company that offers tuition free training, in exchange for you agreeing to work for them for a specified period of time afterword. The one I went through over twenty years ago was Midwest Coast, their web site is www.midwest-coast.com
Check around the area you live in, there may be a similar company. Good luck.

A lot of them offer financial aid, usually the good ones do. Keep shopping. The good ones offer job placement as well.
