Why do I think you're talking about Ron Paul?
Polls that ask about candidates with no chance, and this includes Ron Paul, Mike Gravell, Dennis Kucinich, Tom Tancredo, and others are, by this point in the process, a total waste of time.
Vote for Rudy!

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about, all of the more popular polls (Gallup, USA Today, Rasmussen) do include all candidates.
However, what I hate is that there are so many polls that it is hard to keep them straight. Just last week there were two polls that had Huckabee leading the nation, and two more that had Giuliani leading. Its too confusing.
We should come up with a dependable "one poll" system.

Thank you "Sageandscholar" for that on-point comment. Personally, I think that the "mainstream" news media has been EXTREMELY generous to Ron Paul, given his abysmal support (unless you count Y! Answers and YouTube, which doesn't consist of the majority of americans). And you will notice that the followers of Joe Biden, Tom Tracredo, and Mike Gravel don't complain about "neo-con" media conspiracies against their candidates in the media, even though they get even less support in the news than Paul does. The fact that their supporters aren't brainwashed Ron Paul cultists probably has something to do with it.

All of these polls include "other" or "none of the above" so yes if you bother to look you can see exactly what % other recieves.
This constant pretence by Ron Paul fans that he is being ignored by the media is simply unsupportable.
If you guys spent half as much time actually arguing your candidate's cause as you do pretending he is winning in a landslide and whining that the media won't state that as fact - you might actually see his numbers grow.

I think people are going about their lives, the telephone rings, they are ask who their favorite candidate is, and they answer with the first name that pops into their heads. I don't think the polls are reliable at all.

Why not? We don't trust the candidates, do we?
What difference does a poll make in how you are going to vote?
It shouldn't make any difference.
