I mean, some people are just ugly. and I'm not gonna say no offense, because this will probably offend some people.

But they make it seem like every ugly person is beautiful on the inside! There is awesome people who look pretty before you even get to know them.

at last somebody who is not so goddam PC and holier than thou !!!!
Even when you have to go for a job interview you have to take care of your appearance !!
Lets be realistic here....a lot of jobs when dealing with the public require than you have to be "presentable"..same thing for intimate relationships at first..
We are all visual people and attractiveness counts a lot at first ! To deny it is so silly...but heck you have to follow the masses !
That said; sure but really we all appreciate beauty, in people, nature, and all but still.........what makes and breaks is the personality anyway.
Beauty fades but ugly inside is forever..

Haven't you ever met someone that you didn't think was attractive. . .at all and as you got to know them they became better and better looking. Or the great looking guy and then he opens his mouth and ugh. I don't care what people look like as long as they basically take care of themselves. I appreciate a good mind a lot more than a pretty face. When it's all said and done and you want to talk, just a pretty face is really boring. And when you see that great looking guy that has it all going for him with a female you consider ugly, you can bet that she is smart, educated, fun to be with, and appreciated for who she is, not what she looks like. That would be beauty is in the eye of the beholder. . .and her beauty comes from within. Don't try to get through life on your looks, you need more. Good looks give you an advantage in many ways but without some inner beauty, you'll lose.

Because it is absolutely true. Both of them.
You must be very young, when you mature... you will see this as true too. Good looks can only mask a terrible personality for so long. Eventually even the beautiful people (if ugly on the inside) end up lonely and unloved.
And no one sees every face the same way. Personally I can look at someone who others would consider beautiful and think 'ok, I can see that aesthetically this person is flawless, but they just don't do it for me'. It all depends on your taste. I actually like striking strong features like large noses and massive eyes and scratches and scars. To me kooky is sexy!

Firstly I don't find what you have said offensive. You are right. Some people are not good looking but to say that to their face would be an insult. But I guess we try to find the good and beautiful in people whether they be ugly or not. You could have a really beautiful girl or good looking guy who has an absolutely ugly personality. But I don't know who comes up with these sayings. Good questions though. Merry Christmas. :)

They say it so people take the chance to get to know the 'ugly' person and to not just judge them on appearances. Also, what some people think is ugly, others find beautiful - it's a preferance thing.

Hi... Beauty does come from with-in.. No matter who you are doesn't matter when it comes to who you are.. Your a individual with certain feelings, concerns, thaughts, asperations and inspirations no matter who says anything different.. God made us special and that is the light that shines through making us who and what we are/become through-out our life.
let no-one either in your life or anyone you meet along the way lead you to wonder differently, your someone special and that is what beauty is.. Society is very cruel, not people they are the hapless victims who are the pawns within our society.. Hope is a very strong word, everytime you look into a mirror tell yourself.. For today I am special..God created me for the soul purpose that I could make a positive difference in the world..
Make it a point to tell one person you see feeling down on themselves, they are special, loved/cared for.. Everyday is a new oportunity to make a difference for a stranger to become a new friend.. Good luck!! :-))

Because sometimes people are beautiful on the outside and shallow and mean spirited on the inside.I would rather be homely and kind hearted than drop dead gorgeous and self absorbed and selfish and mean.

its because even if some one is really pretty they look ugly when they are behaving badly, but if some1 is a nice person but they are not very good looking you can learn to look past the looks.
