ohhhhh your opening a can of worms here. i think the only reason she is backing him up is because oprah herself is no better than al sharpton and is a HUGE racist. she will do anything to see a black person get what they want. my question is why dont whites have the same support blacks do?

Everything Oprah says or endorses becomes big-time. Every book, movie, item, etc that she mentions on her store will become a big hit. By publicly endorsing Obama, she will split the female vote in the democratic primary, which should help Obama win the nomination. She has millions and millions of fans.

why does this have to be a race thing. She is a very successful talk show host and philanthropist who is black. He is a Harvard grad ,senator and who has given years of his life to help people, he is half white and half black. both have done a lot to help this country and have lived pretty good lives. So a little less cynicism please.

O and btw I am white and from MS.

She is one of the most powerful women living today. A great many folk follow her every move, TV and otherwise.

As a Whitey, he is my fav to win the nomination. He's well educated, well speaking and heck ... I'm a Republican!

Yeah, she has an influence in the vote.

Well, for those who hate Oprah because of the little incident that happened with the children attending her shcools, she will hurt Obama. However, to those who like Oprah because of her concern for issues and her helpful spirit, she will help Obama. For me, she isn't really helping or hurting him, she is just well...there I guess. I would vote for Obama weather she did her little campaign or not.

Definetly help! Barock has the support of minorities being one running for president and oprah has the backing of milions of women. He takes away from hilary's woment support with Oprah's backing and again Oprah boosts minorities

Yes, Barocko has always been jealous of his brother Borats' success. Instead, Oprah should back Barack Obama-that would definitely help him

She will hurt him because she is not an unbiased judge. She is very popular and rich, but that does not say much for her ability to judge who should be president. It illustrated his dominance by a black woman and probably alienates the black and white community.

Oprah has a huge following!
Men in particular, dislike her
because she is intelligent and
powerful and wealthy.
He will gain some support and
lose some support with her
throwing her weight behind him!
I think that it is a saw off!

He will hurt Hillary's ability to collect the white female vote, which she needs, it is hard to say if it will help or hurt Obama just yet.
