60s: So many. The amount of phenomenal singers on the Motown label alone is staggering.
70s: Freddie Mercury, Robin Zander of Cheap Trick or Ann Wilson.
80s: Sting
90s: Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden (he still sounds amazing!), Daniel Johns of Silverchair. (man, when that guy was 15, he had the power & mature sound of a guy twice his age!)
now: Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters can BELT it, Brian Molko of Placebo, or Conrad Keely from ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead.
