My daughter, who is very shy, wants to learn how to snowboard for her Sweet 16. I am wondering where the best place to get lessons is in the greater Northern Ca region, or Nevada. She suggested Diamond Peak. Does anyone know if they are good with beginners? Is there a good place you would recommend?

I don't know about lately, but I took a lesson at Diamond Peak many years ago they were good. But even better than the staff, that resort has the best beginner run that I've seen - it is really long (less lift exits) and very even with no changes in how steep it is. I have recommended several people to learn there.

Good Luck
