Mike, well, we can't overlook the little problem that President Bush has pushed us into, the "war" that isn't a war for starters, then there is the AIDS plague here and in Africa, how about over population and the people in many countries that die of starvation, then we have floods and people freezing to death, any of those catch your attention above abortion and illegals Mike? Checked out layoffs due to outsourcing in industry?

Abortion is not an issue. Everyone talks about it but 6 years of Repbulican congress and president didn't see any change. Why - because it has been determined to be a constitutional issue. A President cannot change it.
Illegal immigration is a distraction not an issue. Nobody is going to build a wall and staff it with dog patrols etc. If you want action just ask them to start enforcing the laws we have now. On both of these issues there will be a lot of talk but very little action.
If you are voting based on these being your major issues I am afraid you will be sorely dissapointed.

They are both non-issues.

I am staunchly pro-life and all I can say is that if 7 years of Bush couldn't overturn Roe v. Wade, it's not going to happen.

Illegals are not an issue. Illegal immigration has been going on for decades - why are morons pretending that it is an issue NOW? Nothing has changed since then. And anyone stupid enough to advocate mass deportation (on the taxpayer dime, of course) so union workers can take over in the tomato fields, well, I hope you enjoy paying $82.99 for a pound of tomatoes. And you thought gas prices were bad...

Economy and the role of the federal government in everyday life. Always important issues in every election.

Abortions are not that important.
Qùeers marrying one another is not that important.
Stem cell research is not that important.
Universal Health Care is not that important.
The death penalty is not that important.

What is important:

Getting the hell out of Iraq--NOW!

Keeping tax cuts in place (news flash $100K/year is not rich!)

Weaning ourselves off of Arab oil.

Letting individuals invest their Social Security taxes the way they see fit.

Fixing all of these fùcked up roads in this country of ours.

Swinging the USA to a more isolationist policy. Declare that we will leave you alone if you leave us alone. Fùck with us, and we will nuke you, end of story.

Booting the UN off of American Soil

Working on domestic issues rather than foreign policy. Time the USA stopped trying to be the world's policeman.

Paying off the national debt.

Immigration--let the right ones in and keep the wrong ones out!

Economy
Economy
Economy

We (the U.S.) are bankrupt.

Getting the troops out of harms way is very important. If we do that, then the economy stands a fighting chance.

Otherwise, we will keep paying higher and higher taxes to the IRS who, in turn, will hand OUR dollars over to the Federal Reserve so that they can pay off China who will, again, in turn, loan us the money to fight these never-ending wars.

It is a vicious cycle that will not end until we rid ourselves of the corrupt politicians who are suppose to represent us.

GOD SAVE THE PRESIDENCY! 2008.

This one kinda falls under abortion. Embryonic stem cell research is pretty important.

Yes, the war, the economy, health insurance, and stem cell research just to name a few.
