Honestly? I freaked out when I found out Robert would be playing Edward. I was really disappointed. But then I saw this video clip of him:

All I can say now is he would make fairly decent Edward. I know they can't ever cast the perfect Edward (or the Edward in my eyes) but I'll give Robert a chance. As long as the movie people style him like they did in the Vanity Fair clip above I'm all good!

I can only hope that he'll do a good job like he did in Harry Potter. I think he's pretty good looking, but, I just need to get used to the idea of him being Edward.

I think he will do a magnificent job - as he did in Harry Potter!!! I'm really sad that Cedric had to die so early in the series, it would have been great to have him in more of the movies.

all i have to say is ahhh!!!!
i had never imagined him as edward and it will take some time to get used to it, like how long it took me to fully accept that bella is being played by kristen.
i swear!
i so got used to the fact that emily browning would play bella and that henry cavill or hayden christensen would play edward
all i have to say is that steven strait should play jacob and no other actor!

I think he is going to do a good job. Stephenie Meyer made the comment on her website that she thinks he is one person who can be look beautiful and dangerous at the same time. I totally agree.
