No one ever answers my amp questions either man, theres plenty of wannabes who think they know shiit about guitars and write 40 yrs of playing as their source but they aint here now are they?
Im not to familiar with your amp but heres a good place to start
-overdrive channel obviously
-highs at 8
-mids at 5 or 6
-lows at 6 or 7
-gain at 7 or 8
-touch of reverb
Then make sure you using your bridge pickup, if its a single coil then its gonna be tough

I'm pretty sure the Vox Valvetronix is a hybrid tube amp - not all of the amplification circuitry is tubes. The Fender is ALL tubes for the important part of the amplification circuitry. My bet is that the Fender, although rated at 60 watts will be louder than the Vox. I had a Marshall amp that used similar circuitry to the Vox - I sold it - for a reason - the tone just wasn't there. So in this case, I vote the Fender.
