...gotta admit, there are several parts in "Armageddon", where my own personal waterworks come into fruitrition.....oh, all, right!!! I bawl like a baby!!!.....but the very first scene, which gets me all misty-eyed, is when Will Patton's character, Chick, goes back to visit his estranged wife and son, in the guise as a salesman (...as his son had never seen him) letting them know that he "has something coming up....something kinda big, and you juat might be proud me me!". Then later, as the crew (including Chick) are getting ready to board the spacecraft, and Chick's wife and son are watching the proceedings on T.V., she explains to the boy that "that man isn't a saleman....that's your daddy!!"...

OH MAN I HAVE WATCHED THAT FILM A THOUSAND TIMES AND IT STILL TOUCHS MY HARD ........... i cry in the last part when her father blows up the asteroid and then grace marries that guy and they strike up that song " i don't want to miss a thing " . its a very touchy movie.
