I hate to say it but the pain never really goes away. It may lessen over time but as with losing anyone you love there is always a little pain left there. I don't know why it is that you miss your family but I lost my brother in an accident almost 15 years ago and I still carry a little pain from the loss of him.

never!! it will always be there sorry but true i live in another state from my family and have been for 2 years its never the same and miss them more and more you just have to keep in touch and rememeber the good times and smile about those

The pain will go away when you get out of yourself, let go of the pain, and help someone who is suffering worse than you.
Helping someone less fortunate than ourselves is a guaranteed way to feel good about ourselves.
