Do you think the water will remain muddy? why or why not?

It depends. If the water is kept in a container of some sort and not agitated, the dirt particles should eventually settle to the bottom.

Even in swift moving water, at some point the dirt will settle to the bottom and the water will not be muddy any longer.

No, because mud can dry
