Inasmuch as any granulated, water soluble substance kept in one's pants pocket is subject to relative humidity, I'd have to give that a qualified no, unless the geometrical properties of the substance were able to project inter-dimensionally, in which case, you might have to worry more about interstellar vacuum's effect upon the portions of yourself inside the clothing in question.
