I think it is stupid. If I found a store where they were not allowed to say Merry Christmas, I would not shop there any more. Neither would my family. Truthfully, I think we should do away with the ACLU and make a few changes in the constitution. By tghe way, hope all of you have a Merry Christmas. Even if you don't believe in God, He believes in you.

Precisely where is this occurring and who is doing the dictating.
Merry Christmas Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas Merry Christmas
Store owners may decide not to use the greeting to embrace non-Christian groups but it is a purely business decision. I know of no law forbidding such a thing anywhere in the free world. Perhaps in Sears of Baghdad or Penny's of Tehran but not in the free world.

I think we have a nation of whiney cry babies and it's getting old. People take offense to EVERYTHING nowdays. who cares if you dont celebrate christmas. Are you really going to be THAT offended if someone wishes you a merry christmas? If people wish me a happy holiday, for a holiday I dont celebrate, Im going to say thank you, not run home crying about it and raise holy hell that someone dared to be polite to me and wish me a happy holiday.

I'm going to say it rather anyone likes it or not, if they want to take it as an insult, then they are idiots, i don't care what religion or belief they are.

it's fair, not everyone celebrates xmas, and i think its fairly rude to assume. i do realize that the intention are well meant.
i think its awesome that people say happy holidays, it is far more considerate.

I'm OK with that, it could show how American people respect other cultures.
