our lounge suite has a 10 year warranty, but doesn't include the metal actions on the recliners which of course was the first part to act up, i guess i can take comfort in knowing that the foam is covered for the 10yrs. lol!

I have had that happen to me more times than I want to admit. When it happens I end up having to pay for the repair myself, grrrr.

Not too long ago, my parents bought a new riding mower. I learned a valuable lesson on that purchase that I want to share here now.

When you buy a product and they ask you if you want extended warranty on it, take it! Yes it might cost you a little extra, but it will pay off in the end. For those that don't know what the extended warranty is, this is what they told me. If you have the extended warranty on a product, they will put a rush on it to fix it before the other stuff gets fixed. I know that I have had stuff in the shops to be fixed and have to wait any where from a week to a month or longer to get it repaired. I wish a 1001 times that we would have put it on the new rider, but it is too late. Yes it has already been in the shop for repair. They said it was our fault, but it was not. Thank goodness we didn't have to pay for the repair that time.

That does happen, they seems to know which parts will last for 10 yrs and it's not the ones that goes out. I also find that when the warranty runs out, the item usually breaks the next day. lol

I have never gotten to use a warranty on anything in my whole life because they always expire before I can.

They are basically worthless.....unless it's still sitting in the box unused. Have you also noticed that the first thing that goes wrong is cheaper to by new than to fix?
