new user here..i have an aspire 3680 with vista basic..i deleted norton and installed AVG7.5 ,spywareblaster, and free internet window washer..all of them are free editions. is this ok? do i still need windows firewall? it keeps asking me ....thank you.

Turn on the Windows Firewall until you find something better, like Zone Alarm or a router.
Then, re-post and we'll explain how to turn it off AND stop bugging you with this warning.

That I know, windows firewall is useless, alway's has been, but one firewall is all you need, so make sure AVG free or any of those others has one, if you find more than one I advise get rid of one, if not try (zonelabs.com) by checkpoint, there you can download and install (zonealarm Internet Security Suite) for a free 15 day trial, if you don't buy it at the end of the 15 day's, it turns in to a free firewall, it's the one I have on this computer, works great.

Its not a good idea to have that many differnet brands of security on your computer. They will conflict with each other and they'll get mad and fight. Here's what I suggest you do. Keep AVG Free, get AVG Free AntiSpyware, and ZoneAlarm Firewall and you'll be good :).
