Bush v. Gore not because was incorrectly decided, the Court should have declined, on political question grounds, to hear the case at all. Taking the case seriously damaged the Court's reputation.

We got the PREZ G. W. Bush

Study of Disputed Florida Ballots Finds Justices Did Not Cast the Deciding Vote

By FORD FESSENDEN and JOHN M. BRODER
A comprehensive review of the uncounted Florida ballots from last year's presidential election reveals that George W. Bush would have won even if the United States Supreme Court had allowed the statewide manual recount of the votes that the Florida Supreme Court had ordered to go forward.

Contrary to what many partisans of former Vice President Al Gore have charged, the United States Supreme Court did not award an election to Mr. Bush that otherwise would have been won by Mr. Gore. A close examination of the ballots found that Mr. Bush would have retained a slender margin over Mr. Gore if the Florida court's order to recount more than 43,000 ballots had not been reversed by the United States Supreme Court.

Even under the strategy that Mr. Gore pursued at the beginning of the Florida standoff — filing suit to force hand recounts in four predominantly Democratic counties — Mr. Bush would have kept his lead, according to the ballot review conducted for a consortium of news organizations.

Who Won Florida? The Answer Emerges, but Surely Not the Final Word

By RICHARD L. BERKE

ASHINGTON, Nov. 11 — The comprehensive review of the uncounted Florida ballots solidifies George W. Bush's legal claim on the White House because it concludes that he would have won under the ground rules prescribed by the Democrats.

This is a different but interesting question. we do and we don’t. we miss some of the better programming they did such as the New World Order angle in the beginning or the excellent bouts featuring Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit. However, we do not miss the disaster of the company that we saw in the later years. WCW ran its course and ultimately died because it was poorly managed. If the company were ran better we could very well be watching WCW programming now instead of WWE.

If I remember right, the Supreme Court never heard the case; therefore, they made no decision. This effectively upheld a lower court's decision that Florida should be allowed to count its votes according to Florida law, which was followed in the 2000 election.

EDIT

I am mistaken, the Supreme Court did make a decision that the Florida Supreme court's decision to selectively recount ballots was unconstitutional. This would be the correct decision.

True Gore won the popular vote by over half a million, but the court's decision allowed the the FL electorals to go to Bush w/o further recounts. I can't say Gore would have been as good w/ the presidency as w/ the environment, but Bush getting 2 terms probably wasn't the best decision either.

Ah, democracy....

No. Also, the Chicago Tribune done an independent recount of the Florida ballots. The recount proved that Bush won the state of Florida. Then, the real traversty was that CNN was not accountable for their false reporting. Their false reporting was saying Gore won Florida before the polls completely closed in Florida.

They stopped the recount and appointed the commander and thief.

That election was stolen by the Supreme Court by a plurality of just one vote. The "democratic process" within the United States, then, was subverted as a-half million more votes for Gore were subjugated to just one more vote for Bush. The improprieties of the Bush administration and the Republicans in the 2004 election have consolidated the theft of both elections in the minds of many millions of voters.

Have you ever seen the movie "Charlie's Angels?" (with Drew Barrymore).

Remember the guy on the tugboat and as he fell into the lake, he said:"It's the Chad, the Chad, The Chad"

Someday, I think there will be a documentary on the election, and they will use that clip from Charlie's Angels to explain what happened.

Well, Bush won Florida (twice) and Gore tried to negate the stae of Florida. They did not name him president, they simply agreed that the state of Florida acted appropriately.
