You aren't alone. My grandparents were murdered, one of my friends was murdered, and someone I know became a murderer.

The chances of the police finding the killer are usually very good, but it depends on the individual case and what evidence is available. My sincerest condolences on the loss of your friend, and I hope the police find the "perp" and bring him/her to justice soon.

If you have a good lawyer and awesome evidence..or even unfound evidence....possibly. I am terribly sorry about your friend. I will also pray for you too. I know what it is like to loose someone. A family friend of mine was killed in a drive by about 5 years ago and they didn't find the murder until 3 years later. It was a day of rejoice. Never give up hope and pray every single day. God listens...

It depends on how many leads they have.
If it was someone that they knew, then I would say that it is highly likely that they WILL be caught.
If it was a random stranger with no prior record and they didn't leave behind any clues, or DNA evidence, then it's probably not very likely that they will be caught.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Truly.

My boyfriend was murdered back in 1991.
It was f*cking horrible.

I'm sorry for your loss. The likelihood of finding the person responsible may depend on the method of death and how much evidence there was, unfortunately.

I watch a lot of the forensic shows and they have a great success rate. There is always a clue, even if they find it years later.
