Suppose you are looking at a sample of pond water, and your see a single celled organism swimming in the water. It's green, and moves quickly.
Hey! I have an answer to this, but I'm not sure if it's right! :)

There's a clear picture of a nucleus, but you can't see any other organelles with your compound light microscope.

In what kingdom does this organism belong? What other characteristics do you expect this organism to have?

If it has a nucleus and is swimming it could be an amoeba, or possibly an Euglena.
If it is Euglena, it will have chloroplasts, an eyespot, will respond to light, and have a flagellum.

Kingdom is Protista
