My brother called me on my cell phone about an hour ago....it was a little after 1 am here at the time.....and I am sure that the fact that he was calling at that time of day was easier for me to handle because he was calling my cell phone....does this seem weird?

Nope, not at all.
I keep my cell in my pocket on vibrate, so it doesn't disturb anyone at any time, regardless of the time of day.

Makes sense to me!

See? I told you we were kindred spirits! :)

No, you can turn off the cell phone if you don't want to be disturbed but you think of the regular phone as a direct access to a house that is always available.

Yes. 1 am.
If it was my brother, he'd be dead or at least never be able to make a 1 am phone call.
I hate cell phones but I think I may be purchasing one this weekend. People just don't know phone etiquette.

No, its still a phone...and they ring the same. It either bothers you or it doesnt...Thats all up to the person with the phone.*

no, if it's your mobile you know who's calling and don't bother about ignoring it, plus you know if you don't answer it they can always text you!

Cell phone???? I didn't know you were American hello? lol

it makes sense to me. they are different rings.. something about calling the house makes it seem so serious at that time of night.
