Bush is vetoing popular, bipartisan legislation.

Why should the Democrats bend for Bush's budget, where essential services for the AMERICAN people are cut in favor of war and corporations? Are they truly spineless?

I say if Bush won't compromise, then don't send him anything. Am I grossly wrong on this?

Heck, remember when the Republicans lost the majority a couple years ago? He DARED the democrats: if you don't support the war, you control the money.

That was a dare. Make the idiot eat his words. Yeah, I personally think Bush is the most incompetent president to ever be elected (twice). This is a true testament to failing schools if this is the best that American voters can come up with.

I agree with you - we elected the Democrats over a year ago to end to the war. They have betrayed the voters, and I haven't heard a decent explanation why. They ARE Bush, as far as I'm concerned. Except Dennis Kucinich, who's been trying to impeach Cheney and getting no support. The rest are corporate stooges, traitors and crooks, just like Bush and Cheney.

I am an independent and Not allowing a vote is childish. I am the boss so you have to have it my way is what the dem leadership is saying, But I blame both parties for what is going on. They should have taken care of this years ago. As for leases not being used. They did not use them because middle eastern oil was much cheaper to produce then American oil. Now that has turned around. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Their has been drilling in Louisiana for years and it is known as the sportsman's paradise. I lived their all my life and all sorts of animal and plant life thrive their. The argument about endanger species etc do not hold water. As for oil spills we have had our share and guess what the land always comes back to where it was before. Nancy Pelosi and the dems are totally wrong, I agree that we need alternatives but until then lets use what we have. Bring down the futures market by allowing the drilling and then lets go with T-bone Pickens he wants to make money in the future he has the right ideas(wind energy, wave energy etc,). There is more Natural Gas in the ground then we can use for years to come. I see Natural gas being burned off in Louisiana every day. If we don't drill offshore the Chinese are planning to drill in international waters off our coast. Then we will have to give more of our money to the Chinese for their oil.

He was elected twice and he's trouncing what your American voters came up with in the majority demo congress. If he's vetoing anything, he's vetoing the pork that the media doesn't report.

He's not a lame duck. Bush still has powerful influence. HA.

I seriously doubt you read the legislation that the dems sent to him. If you did you would not be in support of it either. The Dems, even though they publicly do not approve of the war, would not stop it's funding. The Dems talking points are to be against the war, however, you will find many of them do actually support it. They just won't say they do. And if you think Bush is the worst president ever then you obviously were sleeping when Clinton was in office. What did he ever accomplish....Nothing.

What are you talking about. He offered up a compromise, the Dem's were the fools. They are the ones who have not compromised from their socialist agenda. I applaud this president to telling them where to stick it.
