If the Democrats go through on their proposed cuts for funding the war and 200,000 government and contract employees are laid off, what would be the outcome in terms of loss of votes.

Not only would it affect the 200,000, but if bases are forced to shutdown operations throught the world, millions of other jobs on the military bases would be affected.

How many of you think that the Democrats are willing to lose millions of votes?

What say you?

Chi Bro Below:

What's up bro, you know how I feel, even thought I am a true conservative, if it would have been me, I would never have given the authorization to go into Iraq.

15 of the hijackers came from the country with all the money. We haven't said anything to them and they continue to fund terrorist activities throughout the world and they have just as bad human rights violations as Iraq did.

As evil as Saddam was, Iraq would have been better with him at the helm. We had and have the ability to keep dictators in check by other means than invading their country.

If we leave Iraq now, regardless of how we got there, it will be a sesspool a few weeks after we leave, and for this reason, it is my opinion that we will have troops there for the next 30 or 40 years.

chum, I particularly have one be conscious which will instruct you ways to get your factor for the period of extra powerful. DICTIONARY. Your very nearly unreadable question is ful of a similar drained previous rhetoric we've heard so in lots of cases from this administration in the process the previous few years. No Democrats or Republicans elect the US to lose this or the different conflict. To make that assertion is to lie. particularly, as pronounced by utilising many intense score protection stress officers in the process the final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and a a million/2, we've neither gained nor lost this area of the conflict. we are in a capture 22 subject. as long as we proceed to be in Iraq we draw further terrorists and insurgents there to combat us. it's time to grant the Iraqui parliament what they have asked, our go out. in spite of everything, if we nonetheless declare our new reason for going over there replaced into to enable the individuals to created an independant, democratic Iraqi government then we haven't any determination yet to appreciate that government's needs.

I didn't vote for them, and there's a good chance I won't vote for them again next year.

However, I will say this. If they actually had the "guts" to defund the war, I would have some respect for them. At least they had the courage to make a stand on their supposed convictions and promises to bring the war to an end. Right now, they look like pathetic little whiners who ***** and ***** about the state of things, but do nothing about it.

Hey there Bubba,

If it were me, I would have cut the funding the day following the 06 elections. They had the momentum and as always managed to snatch defeat out of the hands of victory due to their fear of another Vietnam political backlash. The cowardly Dems were too spineless to do it then, and would even worse to do it when violence is subsiding.

If they are smart, they will continue to send the funding bill with limitations attached and let Bush veto it till kingdom come. I'd pull US troops in a New York minute as they were sworn to protect the US Constitution, not every living being on planet Earth.

They've painted theirselves in a corner to pacify their extreme lefties. The surge is working, and now they want to defund the war...LOL. The average citizen may not be pleased with the way the war has gone, or it's duration...but there's NO WAY they want the soldiers defunded while they are in harms way. They are already losing...look at the elections in Ohio and Virginia yesterday...both republican victories.

To answer your question;

It will definitely be some votes for sure. But with a Congressional approval rating of 11% how many more voters can they lose.

I figured they met and had a closed door session and figured if they didn't vote for the war it would cost them as most wanted blood, any blood. Then they said what if it didin't pan out and they said we can tell them we told them so.

Now, if they did it, after so long it would cost as much as if they had not voted in the first place. Take care.
