Champion's league or the Intercontinental Cup... considering that in the last, the best teams from all the WORLD play each other...

We know Champion's league value the best and most effective team from Europe... but how about the best teams in America?

Anyway, Kaka is really looking forward to playing Boca Jrs... (the team with most international cups) after their defeat in 2003 by penalties...

So, what's your opinion on this....?

Champion's league.

For now the Champion's League is the bigger title. Because of the monetary advantages of the European Leagues, the Champion's League is a more prestigious tournament than the Copa Liberatadores.

At the present time, because the Club Championship is new, the European teams have seemed to treat it as an annoying mandatory exhibition that interrupts the real season rather than as the culmination of a thirty month quest.

On the other hand, the South American teams seem to see it as an opportunity to prove that they are just as good as the top teams in Europe. I am not sure, however, if they were asked which title meant the most whether they would say the Copa Liberatadores or the Club Championship.

The Champions League. Sorry to say but the best teams are from Europe. For Boca Juniors fans this is obviously bigger than CL. Milan have already won the longer harder tournament. This is like a big bonus to cap it all off. This is only their number one objective for this season because they just won The Cl. They want to prove their the best in the World and theres a lot of money in it from the sponsors.

@ Freshy Prince - Yeah but if they made one big club cup like the World Cup format teams would get too tired traveling back and forth the whole tournament. How would they fit it in with League games and the champions League? Even if they did I bet a European team would almost always win. Milan last cl had to beat Bayern, Manchester, and then Liverpool. Here they have to play Japanese champs and Boca in 2 games. Both teams not as strong as the powers of Europe IMO. Sorry for the rant.

Right now I would say the CL is more prestigious. The reason is because the Club World Cup is still in it's childhood stages, and because only the champions of each continent participate. Oh and the champions of Europe and South America don't have to play a game until the semi-finals. I think if they expanded the competition more, making it more like the World Cup where 32 teams participated in it, it would eventually become more prestigious. Only then will the Club World Cup be compared to the World Cup and the CL compared to Euro.

champions league..

like the first user said.. the best teams around the world are from europe.. have a look at real madrid, barcelona, manchester united, ac milan.. i doubt that any team from around the world will be able to beat them if they had a full strenght squad.

all the best football players go to europeans clubs anyway... so champions league for me!
