Just take things one step at a time. First thing is to finish what you are doing now, your associate's degree. You can work at your new job while going to school. When you have finished this degree, then re-evaluate and see what you want to do next. You are young, and you can do many things in your life. It is likely that most young people your age can expect to have at least two or three careers in their lifetime. You are not late starting - seems to me that you are already well on your way. Most importantly, enjoy each day, be kind to people each day, and do your best with each day. That is all that is necessary. Best of luck. I think you will do well and go far.

You can start by realizing that you learn things one step at a time. If you want to go to medical school, work on a plan that will help you get there. Find out what is required to get into medical school. Then structure your degree to fit those requirements.

You might want to get the basics out of the way at the community college, but make sure all of the classes you take will transfer to the university where you hope to get your undergraduate degree. It's not important to worry about an associates degree. To get that degree, you might end up taking classes that won't count towards your B.S. degree. So that would be a waste of time and money. Just get the classes that are required for your long term goals.

You can volunteer at a hospital while you're in high school or college. So you might want to check that out over the holidays while you have time. See what is available in your area.

It's awesome to have long term goals. You need to develop a plan as to how to reach those goals. To do that, you have to make some short term goals, and keep working until you've accomplished all of those goals that eventually lead to the long term goal. Best wishes!
