So that one day everything that could possibly be discovered is discovered, so that there was an infinite knowledge of the Universe including how it was created and its future.

(assuming we dont die, there was infinite time and money and cooperation etc etc)

Is matter finite? Are our brains finite? Those questions are to be asked before we could even begin to grasp the infinite. And science is only a branch of the universe. It is only a tool for measuring what can be measured. Is there an unmeasurable? If you believe in duality, then there must be a measurable and an unmeasurable. So do you mean can humans acquire all knowledge of the universe assuming there are no restrictions? This is unanswerable because no matter how abstract we think, we will always be restricted. Any idea of the infinite we express is flawed since we are simply finite.

Not really. Science is often self-perpetuating. You can start with one idea and develop it into two ideas, these can develop into four ideas and so on. Eventually you start to cover the same ground but by then the single idea could have mushroomed into many others.

There are a great many areas as yet unexplored - not necesarily physically explored but scientifically. There are many others which we are just begining to get to grips with.

I think, if it were possible to pool all the knowledge in the world, you'd find it continually grows at an exponential rate.

No, from the very nature of reason. You must have an assumption somewhere. You do. You assume that everything has a rational explanation and use that as the starting point to in fact go looking for that explanation.
And funny you should use the word 'theoretical' and that your tool is described as 'science'. Your very question admits of no answer on scientific grounds.

And finally. You are starting as an atheist. Starting not necessarily ending. 'God' would be the ultimate explanation. and nothing would explain 'God'.

true wisdom is knowing that you know nothing.

a theory is only recodnised as truth if there is no way to prove that it's wrong. but people will believe what they want to.

if we never died, infinite time , money & cooperation existed, i think we would be doing things other than researching science, but it still is possible that people would be that dedicated.

human nature would most probabely influence us to fight, disagree... i think that, even if we don't die naturally, if we knew everything there is to know about science then there would be endless atomic bombs, and everyone except the one braniac who discovered it would be alive.
good question.

properly look at it this way, with the telescopes we've immediately, we are able to not see back to the massive bang, not to show see the outer fringe of our universe. So anybody asserting we've seen all the often happening universe are in simple terms dreaming of the destiny, that is that in the event that they are able to get the investment for even bigger and lots extra effective than what they dave now. every day some one is calling out new issues touching directly to the universe, like darkish remember, that is basically a theory combat now, no cone can see bark remember, and till they discover a thank you to work out of capture any darkish remember that is going to stay a theory.

Human knowledge is a finite body of work so it cannot contain an infinite amount of knowledge.

If there is an infinite amount of knowledge to be had then it, by definition, cannot be totally contained.

If there is a finite amount of knowledge, then I suppose it could all be catalogued eventually...

I suppose that if you have an ifinite amount of time you can discover an infinite amount of information but that kinda begs the question of what does 'infinite' really mean?

It's possible in theory, not in the world. It's hard to imaging an "End of Science, Mission Accomplished" day of completion. The physical world is in flux, if it would stay still for a while it would be possible.

Man's curiosity will and is only leading him to all the discoveries and his thirst for more knowledge will never be quenched and he will continue to discover more and more. if this continues he might eventually discover everything in science.

Not in this life 'cuz we're finite beings and can do only finite things. We exist in a Infinite vacuum which has no time or provable existence.
