Way back in 1960, I was 4 years old, on 20th December. My dad came home from work with a huge walking talking doll, he had won at his works raffle. He hid the doll behind the kitchen door, but I found it, and ran screaming into the living room. As many children do, I had seen the same doll adverised on the television, and remember requesting it for Christmas.I thought my Dad had bought the doll for my Birthday, but I was sorely disappointed, when he told me that it was for my younger sister, and not for me, and belted me hard for spoiling the surprise.

Needless to say, I didn't have the happiest of Childhood's, and made sure I treated all my own children fairly, and now make sure I do the same with my grandchildren.

That memory will live with me forever, even though my parents have "conveniently" forgotten it!!!
